Gwen Mizell
Owner
Gwen Mizell has been a business leader in the Electric Power industry for more than 25 years. She most recently was Vice-President of Power Generation Services for KEMA Inc., a leading technical consulting firm serving the worldwide energy marketplace. Ms. Mizell was previously a Business Development leader at ABB in Santa Clara, California, responsible for the sale of software to participants in the deregulated energy market. Ms. Mizell spent the bulk of her early career at Westinghouse Electric (later Siemens Westinghouse) where she performed marketing and sales functions; strategic planning; emissions testing program management and business development functions for power plant equipment. Ms. Mizell holds a BS degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and a MS degree in Management and Public Policy Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. As a Sloan fellow, Ms Mizell completed the APPAM Summer Institute at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Michele Wynne has been in the electric power industry for more than 40 years. Initially an environmental planning engineer at Southern California Edison, she has worked on a variety of projects including transmission and generation siting, power purchasing, industry restructuring, demand response, and renewable energy. She worked with Applied Professional Training to develop a suite of training materials that cover transmission, distribution, and system operations. Michele’s work with Tesla, Inc. focuses on providing clients with short and medium term load forecasting services that reduce price and delivery risks and integrate DSM, smart meter, and ISO constraints into the forecasting process. Most recently, Ms. Wynne has provided technical consulting services to the energy industry through her company, Grid Services, Inc. Ms. Wynne holds a BS in Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Alfred Dyson

Alfred Dyson has more than 30 years of experience and is responsible for all power plant activities in the Southern region. Mr Dyson evaluates and identifies bid opportunities, supports customer relationship development and provides technical expertise as needed. Mr Dyson holds several degrees, among them a MS Chemical Engineering and a BS in both Chemical Engineering and Mathematics.
Before joining the GSM team, Mr Dyson worked in various engineering capacities for Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and later for American Electric Power (AEP). Mr Dyson has experience in a variety of areas including preparing feasibility studies for advanced energy systems; preparing process specifications for coal gasification plants; certified trainer for water systems management in power plants; served as technical manager for major modifications to two coal fired power plants; led design review teams; and led multi-disciplined teams to design and construct major environmental projects. Mr Dyson is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
